Do you sleep with the door open or closed?

Until May 12, 2007, I didn’t worry whether my bedroom door was open or closed while I slept. Now, my bedroom door is closed and locked every night. Tenth-grader Alec Kreider, entered the Haines’ family home while all were asleep and stabbed them. All their bedroom doors were open and their garage door was up. When you look at his photo, Alec was just a kid. The only person to escape was the 19-year-old daughter. Alec didn’t know she’d returned from college that evening. The Haines’ house was less than a mile from ours. The police were at a loss to find the killer or even a motive for why this family had been killed. The police were vocal about what the area residents should do until the case was resolved. It was during that month that we started locking the bedroom door. Finally, it became a habit that we continued even after Alec’s father drove his son to police headquarters. Alec never disclosed why he killed a good friend of his and the parents. He pleaded guilty and there w...

What have children had to endure in schools in the past?

Children were sometimes forced to kneel on dry peas. This was common around the time of the world wars, including in Germany. It was meant to break children’s will. Some punishments used by teachers were extremely cruel. There is even a real photo of a girl who recently experienced this punishment at school. The photo shows her knees, not her fingers, even though it may look that way. Today, this kind of punishment still exists in some parts of China and the Philippines. Another punishment was called “the paws.” This meant hitting a child’s outstretched hand. It was not fully banned until 1980. Teachers used sticks made of willow or hazelnut wood to hit the palm or fingers. Hitting the fingertips was considered especially painful. This punishment was often used instead of hitting children on the buttocks and was used more often on girls. Usually, a child received two to five hits, but there was no real limit. Because of this, many children ended up with swollen hands and could no...

What is the most brutal truth about Ronaldo's first son?

Do you mean Ronaldo , the world famous football player? Queer as a daffodil, my dear! Ronaldo loved gallavanting with the boys, but loved admitting it a lot less. Not good for his ‘image’ and his income — the world of football is rather homophobic, after all. Player’s wives and supposed hyper-masculinity are all the rage and the sport sells well around the world including some highly conservative nations. Silence pays and rumors cost. So a decade or so ago the legend suddenly had a son… he said the mother was an ‘unidentified woman’ who agreed to let him ‘raise the child’ with help of his mother. He played it off as if he had an illegitimate child, mother couldn’t raise it so he bravely stepped up the plate… thus ‘proving’ his heterosexuality. In truth, he discreetly had the boy by IVF with a  surrogate mother. The story of the son broke just around the time when certain images of the famous athlete were leaked to the press, in which he carresses another man’s genitals nea...

Where did Arnold Schwarzenegger's muscles go? Why is he so much smaller now?

He got old, he’s in his 70’s and muscle mass deteriorates over time. Many professional trainers claim that it is physically impossible to maintain the same muscle mass in your 20’s, 30’s and even 40’s later on in life. The human body deteriorates. He was the Governor of California for two terms, he was more concerned with fiscal and social issues than working out. Political jobs tend to stress out people because they are very rigorous and demanding. This was a snap shot of him during his tenure as Governor. Honestly, that’s not really that bad for a guy in his mid to late 50’s. 3. He’s been losing his muscle mass since the 90’s, he was larger in the 70’s and 80’s because of his workout regimen. Even though he was still muscular in the 90’s, you can see a decline in his muscle mass. This is probably due to him scaling down for different roles and age as well.

What was it that your child told you that gave you chills?

When my 6yr old step daughter looked at her mom and said “you're my mommy” and then turned around to me and told me “and you're my daddy” my heart instantly broke and I was filled with love built felt so guilty that her biological father isn't really a part of her life. Yes, she knows I'm a female but she says this because I portray myself more masculine. It was one of the best things to know that shes sees me as her parent and know that shes just as much of mine as she is her mother's.

Who's the most ridiculously good-looking person you’ve ever met?

I was a film critic and on air television reporter for more than 20 years, half of that in Hollywood. As part of the job I interviewed film and TV stars. The rumors are true—many of them are quite attractive. Among the top beauties i talked with: Meg Ryan, Charlize Theron, and Julia Roberts. But while she hasn’t enjoyed the success of those three actresses, I’d have to say the most ridiculously good-looking actress I’ve met is Joan Severance. I rarely asked for a photo with a star, but for her, I made an exception.

Why do people dislike Taapsee Pannu?

When the MeToo movement came to India, Taapsee Pannu supported women, which is completely justified. However, there were some flaws in Taapsee's thinking. After Sushant's death, Taapsee Pannu supported Rhea when she was caught in controversies. Taapsee supported Rhea despite not knowing her. Instead, why did he not demand a fair trial and investigation? [Support women, even if it's against justice] One of the allegations of MeToo was on Anurag Kashyap . Yet Taapsee supports Anurag because he is her friend! [Support your friends, even if they're wrong] Taapsee is a brainless person who chooses to spread poison. If he had supported justice and fair trial, people would have liked him.
