you can see this thing happening on a fairly regular basis:
Some dude shooting a gun inside a car.
If you have ever been in a car with the windows closed and someone shuts the door just a little too fast you get that really uncomfortable pressure on your eardrums, dont you?
Now imagine being in the same enclosed space and suddenly there is a big ball of quickly expanding gas also inside…. Yup, everybody in the car will be leaping out for a roadside barf in agony and with blood streaming out of their ears.
Even with a window open, it is probably still going to be, well… extremely uncomfortable.
Never shoot a gun inside a car. It will rip your eardrums apart in a probably irreparable way kids :-)
EDIT:
I never expected so many comments and views. so let me thank all of you for putting n your 2cents. Also thanks for the grammar and spelling corrections: I’m not a native speaker but keen to learn :-)
Also I should have been clearer on the actual situation I’m referring to: a closed car with a gun going off inside. So not someone shooting out of an open window. This would not be a problem as many of you correctly pointed out. What will cause damage to your ears is having all the windows closed and then crack one off (and yes I’m not sure it will make your ears bleed but I added that for dramatic effect)
Cheers again and have a lovely day to you all!
SECOND EDIT:
There’s a lot of response from people (fantastic you guys, thanks for taking the time and trouble!!!) saying they shot guns from cars and had no bad effects. Thats not what I’m talking about here. What I meant was ( and sorry for any confusion ) A gun going off inside a closed car with all the windows closed.
Anybody relating stories of drive by shootouts or shooting a gun from inside a car is completely right: no more uncomfortable than shooting on a range. It is however not what I was relating to.
Cheers again and all the best!
